True - Bo Schembechler (head football coach for the University of Michigan Wolverines from 1969 until 1989) was born as Glen Edward Schembechler in Barberton, Ohio on April 1, 1929.  Bo was inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame and at the time of his retirement, he had amassed 234 victories in college football.
